Are You Eligible for WorkCover Physiotherapy?

If you’ve been injured at work, you may be entitled to physiotherapy treatment covered through WorkSafe Victoria if:

● Your injury developed over time because of your job
● You have seen a GP and received a WorkCover Certificate of Capacity

How soon should I start physiotherapy after a workplace injury?

Treatment should be started as soon as possible. Delaying your treatment can be detrimental to your recovery both physically and mentally. Early physiotherapy can help reduce pain, restore movement, and support a faster and safer return to work.

Do I need a referral?

In most cases, you do not need a referral to begin physiotherapy treatment. However, you will usually need a Certificate of Capacity from your GP and an active WorkCover claim. If you're unsure what documents you need, our team can help guide you through the process in your initial call.

Will I need to pay for my physio sessions?

For accepted WorkCover claims, physiotherapy treatment is typically covered by WorkSafe Victoria. This means there are generally no out-of-pocket costs for your treatment. If your claim is still pending, our team can discuss your options with you.

Can I start physio before my claim is approved?
